Enabling WooCommerce coupons
To use WooCommerce Coupons, they must first be enabled.
To enable WooCommerce Coupons, navigate to the left sidebar and click WooCommerce > Settings > General > check “Enable the use of coupon codes”.

Add a new coupon
To add a new coupon, navigate to the left sidebar and click Marketing > Coupons > Add coupon.

Editing coupon data
Add a coupon code which will be used by your customers in your checkout.
Add a coupon description (optional).
Select a discount type from the dropdown box:
- Fixed cart discount – A flat discount on all items in the cart. If your customer buys 3 shirts at $20 for a total of $60, a $10 discount would bring the total purchase to $50.
- Fixed product discount – A flat discount per item in the cart. If your customer buys 3 shirts at $20 for a total of $60, a $10 discount would bring the total purchase to $20.
- Percentage discount – A percentage discount to the whole cart. If your customer buys 3 shirts at $20 for a total of $60, a 10% discount applies a savings of $6, or a total purchase of $54.
Select a coupon amount in dollars.
Check the box if the coupon allows for free shipping.
Set an expiry date in YYYY/MM/DD format.

Changing coupon restrictions
To apply optional restrictions to your coupon, click the “Usage restriction” section on the left side.
Minimum & maximum spend – The min or max total cart amount that a coupon is valid for.
Individual use only – Check if the coupon cannot be used with other coupons.
Exclude sale items – Check if the coupon is not valid for sale items.
Products – Products that the coupon will be applied to, or that need to be in the cart in order for the “Fixed cart discount” to be applied.
Exclude products – Products that the coupon will not be applied to, or that cannot be in the cart in order for the “Fixed cart discount” to be applied.
Product categories – Product categories that the coupon will be applied to, or that need to be in the cart in order for the “Fixed cart discount” to be applied.
Exclude categories – Product categories that the coupon will not be applied to, or that cannot be in the cart in order for the “Fixed cart discount” to be applied.
Allowed emails – A list of emails that can use the coupon.

Adding coupon usage limits
To apply optional restrictions to your coupon, click the “Usage limits” section on the left side.
Usage limit per coupon – How many times the coupon can be used.
Limit usage to X items – How many items in your cart the coupon can be used on at once.
Usage limit per user – The amount of times a single customer can use the coupon.
